OverDubb Studio is proud to announce we have recently upgraded our Studio A “The Platinum Rig”. We believe our clients should have access to the highest quality analog and digital recording equipment at a reasonable price, $50 an hour with an engineer.
Through many years of research and experience, We decided to take a hybrid approach to our recording, mixing, and mastering setup. This means we took the best of both the analog and digital audio engineering worlds. This gives our clients a sonic advantage, saves them time, and provides them the best value for their money. By taking this approach we are able to retain the warmth, width, and depth of analog gear while not having to deal with console recalls. We retain the ease of use and quick recalling of digital audio workstations.
We have seen many local studios make statements that recording, mixing, and mastering in the box is all that is needed. They are only telling half the story and it’s for their benefit. Yes, some songs have gone from bedroom to radio but those are very rare situations. Why bet the success of your career on emulating rare situations.
Yes, it’s a costly investment to buy quality gear, but we believe our clients are worth the investment. The other guys want to get away with using gear on client’s projects that is not the best while charging prices above what they should.
What they don’t tell you is that at some point 99.9% of the big, chartings songs you hear out, is eventually run through analog gear during the mixing and/or mastering process, even if they did record in the box. If quality equipment wasn’t important why do major labels and artists continue to spend so much on recording in facilities that provide certain tried and true pieces of gear? Or why do they continue to send their music to top mastering houses to be mastered on analog gear, if it didn’t matter?
OverDubb Studio exists to fight for the artist, we want you to have your cake and to eat it too. So get out the box and impart some analog warmth, depth, and width into your songs. We provide skilled engineers, great vibes, and top-notch gear all for $50 an hour.
